The Metacognitive Role of Independent Learning Skills in the Development of Students’ Competence

Abstrak

This article’s aim is to reveal and inform essential, factual information on the metacognitive importance of independent learning in the development of competence of students in teaching and cognitive process. The data were collected using test and self-report inventory technique. The research also analyzes and shows that the students’ competence in cognitive process and knowledge in independent learning on metacognitive skill.
