Dermoscopy is a non-invasive diagnostic method that is highly valuable for identifying melanoma and distinguishing it from other pigmented skin lesions, and is now increasingly being used for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of common dermatoses. There are various publications available that describe the dermoscopic features of parasitic and viral dermatoses, psoriasis, lichen planus, certain precancerous skin diseases, Kaposi's sarcoma, as well as purpura, urticarial vasculitis, hives, rosacea, and seborrheic dermatitis. Understanding the dermoscopic features of these dermatoses is important for accurate diagnosis, particularly in challenging cases.
